A member of the BEMANI class of 2000, all of which saw quick cancellations, Dance ManiaX was a kind of Dance Dance Revolution for your hands. Consisting of two sets of four motion sensors (upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right), Dance ManiaX required you to pass your hand through the sensor at the correct time in order to register a hit. Quick jabbing motions were definitely the best way to do this, which resulted in gameplay that did little to resemble dance. Regardless, the game lasted for just 2 mixes (with one append version).
